About Me

Born in Zittau, which is located in the tri-border area of Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic, I was obsessed by technology early on – especially everything computer-related. Ever since I got my first GameBoy, I wanted to know how these things work. When I was 10, I finally took my first steps into the world of programming. At this point, I already knew what I want to do after school.

In my opinion, Computer Science is still horribly underrepresented in german schools. Luckily, I enjoyed starting projects such as own video games, which gave me a nice boost regarding programming skills.

I also learned to love choral singing after my music teacher finally convinced me to try singing in the school choir, which immediately became an important part of my life.

After graduating from the Christian-Weise-Gymnasium in 2014, I started studying Computer Science at TU Dresden. During a university project in the third semester, I had first contact with Deep Learning. This resulted in my first AI-related job at the ScaDS Dresden. Later I became a working student at T-Systems Multimedia Solutions, where I assisted in developing an AI-based product. Here, my Diploma thesis came about, which focussed on development and training of the product’s domain-specific neural network.
